New Gun Microphone for Olympus Recorders

Many of our customers have, from time to time, wanted a way to record a speaker or lecturer from a distance, such as when seated in a lecture hall or large classroom. While we've considered offering shotgun microphones in the past, we weren't pleased with either the size or price enough to offer them as a dictation recording accessory.

Olympus has solved our dilemma with the new ME-31 gun microphone, a hand-held or table-top microphone that helps eliminate nearby sound to help isolate whomever the mic is pointed.

The ME-31 also includes a windscreen to cut down on sound from ventilation, drafts or, of course, wind. And the microphone only weighs a bit over 3 ounces!

We'll be testing the ME-31 over the next few weeks and we'll have more information to post soon. In the meantime, if you're having trouble picking up someone speaking from a distance, give this microphone your consideration.
