While the DigiScribe can allow you to transcribe all but DSS Pro audio files, it's true power comes in the ability to play and transcribe video files in .avi, .mov, .mp4 and .wmv formats. You can see the video in a small window, while controlling the playback with the included footswitch.
Note that you cannot playback a regular DVD, but you can use it to play back AVI, MOV, MP4 or WMV files stored on CD's or DVD's. To achieve maximum performance, copy your video files to your hard drive before transcribing.
