All-Encompassing Speech Recognition May Not be Far Off

According to a recent report from the Wall Street Journal, the days of ubiquitous speech recognition to control all kinds of computing may come sooner than most expect.

That could be good news for many companies. Speech recognition has been shown to boost efficiency and increase productivity. Those are two goals nearly all companies are constantly trying to attain.

The technology has come a long way in recent years. Speech recognition vendors continue to launch products that are more innovative and accurate than the last. Nuance, far and away the industry leader, boasts higher than 95 percent accuracy.

As the products improve, so too will their adoption for all kinds of computing tasks, according to the Wall Street Journal.

"But voice as input now stands on the verge of becoming mainstream," Ben Rooney wrote for the Journal.
Companies and organizations from small health practices to national law firms already utilize speech recognition technology to better conduct business.

All necessary tools, software and expert advice needed to launch a speech recognition platform are offered by American Speech Solutions.
